"-" ist das prefix für programmparameter( wie zB -console oder -developer )
"+" ist das prefix für consolenparameter( wie zB +sv_cheats 1 oder eben +deathmatch 1 ).

Ich würd jetzt nicht drauf schwören das es so stimmt, aber ich bin mir ziemlich sicher das es so ist.
